How to Tie a Vintage 1940’s Style Turban #1
I have worn vintage turbans and hair scarfs for a long time, and over that time one of the most asked questions is “Can you make a tutorial on how to tie that?? PLEEEASE!” I have decided to make it into a series as there are just so many ways you can tie a vintage style turban that I simply couldn’t fit it into just one video…..
Yes, it is! Ladies this is my first foray into video, so please be kind! I decided to focus on video tutorials as I personally find that tutorials are so much easier to follow, understand and learn from when in video format. And I wanted that for you. But, this meant that I had to work up the courage to film myself!!!
SCARY!
Hence why it took what seems like a decade to get started on these turban tying tutorials! Sorry!
Turbans and hair scarfs play a big role in my style and I have many, many…. ok MANY in my collection! I think they are a wonderful addition to any vintage style wardrobe, not only for fashion but as a practical item that can be used to cover up a bad hair day, lazy hair day or still, have pin curls in hair day!
This one is probably my signature look, and if you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen this style in the black turban I usually wear,
I will continue with this series on different ways to tie both turbans and hair scarfs, of different types as they all give different looks! Obviously with a vintage style to them all! So follow along and you will have some basic ideas to begin your own signature tying technique!
